St. Joseph Mi Dentist - David Ronto - Bio

BIO

My name is David Ronto and I have had the privilege of providing dental care to southwest Michigan for the last 17+ years.  I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you all a little about myself.

What brought me to Michigan originally, was college.  I attended Andrews University and I really loved the area.  I met my wife there and we always spoke of coming back to the area when I was done with graduate school.  I attended Loma Linda University in Southern California where I received my Dental degree.

Following dental school I was an associate at another practice for two years, from 2000-2002, during which time I studied for and received my Implant credentials from University of Detroit Mercy.  I had the honor of learning from one of the best implant surgeons and implant teams in the world and have some of the best referral sources in the event someone needs a procedure I don’t offer.   I started my own practice in 2003.  After a brief rental stint (2 years), I purchased and remodeled our current building.

I have two awesome kids, Brittany and Tyler, and an ever patient and enduring wife Wendy.  I love cars, although no one ever sees me drive my “projects” since I am apparently not very good at my hobby.  I try to exercise regularly, with running/jogging being my number one choice, but I do occasionally enjoy a great meal at my favorite local restaurant Mr. Goody’s with McDonald’s coming in a close second.

Those of you who know me understand the kind of person and dentist that I am.  While I have not been able to make EVERY person happy, we have seen over 7000 very pleased patients.  So I am sorry to those who I could not help or have had misunderstandings with, and I am honored to take care of those who are with us.  My one and only goal is to treat peoples dental problems honestly, kindly, and with as much precision as humanly possible.

I perform most dentistry myself without referring out.  While there are some procedures that I don’t do often enough to be proficient at which I will refer out, I hold my colleagues to the same standard I expect of myself.  I believe that the specialists I work with are the best.  However, I would guess that 95% of all your dental needs will be met without the need for referral.

I truly believe that dentistry can be done with a minimal amount of discomfort and actually with a little bit of fun.  Just ask our patients.  They will tell you how much grief I get which seems to be a great source of entertainment for everyone.   This is the reason that I don’t take myself too seriously, since truly the best medicine is often times laughter.

I understand that dentistry can be expensive and overwhelming.  This is why I try to explain and plan as thoroughly as I can for every single person.  Every person is different, and everyone’s situation and dental needs and desires are different.  I never treat any two people the same and I try to go out of my way to explain procedures and explain my reasoning for what I have suggested.   I expect the same of all my staff as well.  You would be hard pressed to find a more dedicated and informed group of people than I have working here.  I am blessed to work with them.

Thanks for visiting our website and we look forward to seeing you soon!
